About us
Jodhka Khal Bhandar (JKB) has been a key player in the cattle feed industry since its establishment in 1952 in Tohana, Haryana. Initially a small wheat grinding mill, it expanded over the decades into mustard oil and cattle feed production. By 1994, it formally entered the retail cattle feed market, gaining popularity for quality products. In 2020, JKB launched Jodhka Agrovet, a full-scale manufacturing unit producing 150-300 quintals of cattle feed daily, solidifying its presence in Northern India’s dairy sector.
To stay competitive, JKB innovated in cattle feed formulation, introducing a blend of chana husk, groundnut cake, wheat bran, and peanut extract, which boosted buffalo milk production from 5-6 litres to 8-10 litres per day. It also tackled the issue of transported buffaloes losing milk yield by enhancing feed with high fibre and protein, ensuring quick recovery and sustained productivity.
JKB now offers 12 cattle feed varieties, categorised into premium and budget segments. The premium range includes Tohana Jodhka, Supreme Jodhka, 20+ Jodhka, and 25+ Jodhka, promoted through farmer education and partnerships. The budget-friendly line includes Calf Care, Dry Animal, Transguard, Amrit, Tejas, Bull, and First Timer, ensuring affordability and accessibility. The company discontinued its Haldi Amla feed due to low demand.
Beyond feed production, JKB has started preparing buffaloes for milk production competitions, achieving impressive yields of 15-20 litres per day, further building trust among farmers. However, retaining the cow feed market remains a challenge due to regional preference for buffaloes, lack of farmer awareness, and cows being more disease prone.
JKB continues to lead through innovation and strategic market positioning, focusing on expansion, customer education, and improved feed formulations to sustain growth in the evolving dairy industry.
